Jackson Hole and Wyoming links:
- Jackson Hole native Darrell Miller speaks from the heart about Jackson Hole’s chronic shortage of affordable workforce housing.
- Jackson Hole’s own Wyoming Governor Matt Mead is optimistic in the face of the state’s budget woes on the opening day of the budget session. And here is what the Teton County contingent is hoping to achieve.
- The Powder 8s Grand Nationals took place on Throwback Saturday, with locals Chris Denny and Halsey Hewson skiing in synch like it was 1999 to take third. (Some Aspen dudes took first.)
- “What’s your Vector, Victor? Over.” Response from Geoff McAndrews, backcountry explorer and GoPro leader: “Prater Peak. Salt River Range. Find it if you can. Over.”
- The Teton County Board of Commissioners finally provided some direction on Phase III of the Grove, an affordable housing project in West Jackson that will provide 24 deed-restricted units. They say give it to Habitat for Humanity. The Housing Authority, which owns the land, will meet next week to evaluate the option.
