Jackson Hole and Wyoming links:
- Outside Magazine identifies Snow King as one of the most accommodating ski resorts when it comes to uphill travel.
- Wyoming continues to be recognized as the “Best State in America, for tax purposes.” The Tax Foundation “looks at individual income, sales, corporate income, property and unemployment taxes. Wyoming scores exceptionally well because it has no corporate income or individual income tax. The state’s 4 percent sales tax rate is low compared to California with a 7.5 percent rate.”
- Your land may cost a bit more to visit going forward as entrance fee hikes are proposed for national parks including Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Grand Canyon.
- Great World Cup start for former Jackson Hole Ski Clubber Resi Stiegler, finishing 17th in slalom at Levi, Finland. Even better video is this interview with her, her brother Seppi and her dad, Olympic champion Pepi Stiegler about her latest comeback to world-class form.
- The rare objective top-10, where it is indisputable Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has the longest vertical drop in the United States (though Revelstoke and Whistler have more in North America).
