Jackson Hole affordable housing: Teton Village condo now $149K, Alpine 2-bed townhome now $94,900

tetons, clouds
Spring is taking its time this year, with clouds and new snow more prevalent than blue skies and rising rivers.

Two price reductions on today’s Teton County Multiple Listing Service Hotsheet have lowered the bar to entry in the regional housing market.

The first is a 464-square-foot studio in Teton Village built in 1972 that is now listed at $149,000. This Sleeping Indian condo – which is now the lowest-priced full-ownership free market home in Teton County – is bank-owned and reduced from $189,900 after 162 days on market.

The second is a 2-bed, 1-bath, 900-square-foot, bank-owned townhome in the town of Alpine. This home is reduced to $94,900 from $135,000 after 91 days on the market, but has in fact been on the market for nearly two years and listed as high as $149,000. This is now the lowest-priced unit in Alpine, a community about 35 miles south of Jackson.

At these prices, mortgage payments could be very close to what it would cost to rent similar properties. These properties also may qualify for extremely attractive loans with as little as zero down. (Yes, none, nada, zip, no dineros!)

Contact me for the details and for a list of lenders that may be able to help you get into one of these units.
